Our South African Division offers innumerable Itineraries, Samples of some are detailed hereunder. We can modify these to suite your availability and specific interests anywhere in Southern Africa. Send us as much detail as possible or your group size, dates of availability, arrival and departure points, special interests and we will design and price up a proposal for your consideration.

Selfdrive Packages

We can design a tour package to suite your interests and time available, doing all your accommodation bookings and arrange for a suitable Hire vehicle for you to have a totally prepared package ready for you on arrival in Johannesburg.

You can choose a fully equipped Camping Vehicle and camp all the way, or a Sedan or SUV and stay in Lodges and permanent camps or Bed & Breakfast establishments or whatever you prefer and best suits your budget.

These itineraries can include South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zambia and or Zimbabwe

Guided Safaris

The following are typical tour packages we offer and these can be altered or extended to suit your preferences and preferred travel dates. We can arrange accomodation prior to and after safaris, and add-ons as required. Kruger Park Safari - 5 days

DAY 1
JOHANNESBURG - MPUMALANGA


Depart for Kruger Park after breakfast. Our route passes through the Drakensburg mountains - Long Tom Pass, Sabie Town, Graskop for lunch, God's Window, Berlin Falls, Blyde River Canyon. Overnight in Hazyview (Lodge).











DAY 2, 3 & 4
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK


The famous Kruger National Park - home to 130 mammal species and 468 bird species and covering 2 000 000 hectares - is our destination for the next three nights. Our stay is divided between two camps and mostly will be spent exploring the park in search of the "big five" with day and night game drives. Accommodation in Bungalows.


















DAY 5
KRUGER PARK - JOHANNESBURG


Relax and enjoy the Mpumalanga scenery on your homeward journey, stopping en route for lunch. Arrive back in Johannesburg before "rush hour" at approximately 16.00 hrs.









Big 5 x 5 Safari Five days of the big five

Fly in/out options also available ex Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and Victoria Falls if preferred.

For this tour we visit a private game reserve adjoining on the Kruger National Park. Accommodation is in comfortable, en-suite bungalows in an exclusive private camp in the Sabi Sands Concession area or the Timbavati.


DAY 1
JOHANNESBURG - MPUMALANGA


Depart for Mpumalanga after breakfast. Our scenic and historical route through Drakensburg mountains - Long Tom Pass, Sabie Town, Graskop for lunch, God's Window, Berlin Falls, Blyde River Canyon and Bourke's Luck Potholes. We overnight in a lodge near Hazyview.











DAY 2, 3 & 4
SABI-SANDS


After a sumptuous breakfast we head for our private game lodge, arriving in time for a quick swim before lunch. We have plenty of time here in Big 5 Territory to explore it extensively on morning, afternoon and night game drives or on foot. Game drives are in open 4x4 Safari vehicles, equipped with a spotlight for night drives when we scour the bush for elusive nocturnal species. Game walks allow us the experience of observing the smaller inhabitants of the African Bush close up or following the tracks of the larger species in pursuit of a discreet sighting. Not to forget the diverse plant and bird life that abounds in the reserve. All excursions are accompanied by a qualified ranger (armed) and his bush tracker.




DAY 5
SABI-SANDS - JOHANNESBURG

Relax and enjoy the Mpumalanga scenery on your home- ward journey, stopping en route for lunch. Arrive back in Johannesburg before "rush hour" at approximately 16h00.

DAY 1 & 2
JOHANNESBURG - DRAKENSBURG MOUNTAINS


We depart from Johannesburg after breakfast and head for a guest house in the foothills of the Drakensberg / Dragons Back mountains. For those that wish to appreciate nature firsthand. Superb mountain walks and horseback rides (own cost) can be organized through this lush paradise of rolling hills and endless vistas. Visit ancient Bushman painting sites or follow one of the meandering streams which form such an integral part of the beauty for which the Drakensburg is renowned.






DAY 3, 4 & 5
ZULULAND COAST


We leave the mountains for the beaches of Northern Kwazulu Natal. The first day is mostly spent travelling through this verdant rolling province with its tropical climate and vegetation. We settle into a Lodge for three nights and enjoy the next two days with a day trip to Mkuze or Hluhlue game reserves, the Saint Lucia estuary and or the famous Kosi Bay with its traditional fish traps and phenomenal estuary reef. Other options are a beach excursion to snorkel at Mabibi, join one of the resident scuba diving clubs and explore the corral reefs in the bay, ( own cost ). Or pit your skills and strength against the mighty Marlin on a deep sea game fishing trip. (Own cost)















DAY 6
MAPUTALAND - KRUGER PARK


Depart for Kruger Park traveling around Swaziland with sweeping views of the northern reaches of the Drakensburg mountains. We travel for most of the day arriving in the south of the Kruger National Park. Accommodation in bungalows.











DAY 7 & 8
KRUGER PARK

DAY 9
KRUGER PARK - MPUMALANGA


After an early morning game drive, we leave the park. We take a scenic and historical route through Drakensburg mountains - J.G. Strijdom Tunnel, Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window, Berlin Falls, Graskop for lunch, Pilgrim's Rest, etc. Overnight in Sabi at a Guest House/Lodge.








DAY 10
MPUMALANGA - JOHANNESBURG


Relax and enjoy the Mpumalanga scenery on your homeward journey, stopping en route for lunch. Arrive back in Johannesburg before "rush hour" at approximately 16h00.





Alternatively we can arrage for you to fly back to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban or Victoria Falls


Drakensberg Mountains Getaway - 5 days

DAY 1
KWA-ZULU NATAL MIDLANDS & BATTLEFIELDS


Our guide will collect you from your hotel in Johannesburg or Pretoria. We head East crossing the Drakensberg (Dragons back) Mountains at van Reenens Pass where we leave the wide open farmlands of the Free State and descend upon the rolling green hills of Kwa Zulu-Natal with the Majestic escarpment of the Drakensberg Mountains forming a formidable barrier along the horison to our right.

We will stop en route for a light lunch. Our destination is Bergville for our first overnight stop at Easby Guest House an old pre-war (Boer) home built by the Coventry family in 1897. It was occupied by Gen. Louis Botha during the Anglo Boer War in 1900 and has an un-interrupted view of the Drakensberg in the distance.

This afternoon we can take you on a short walk and or drive led by a specialist Battlefields guide as he explains the details of the history specific to this area and as they occurred over a hundred years ago or you can relax at the pool after a casual nature walk on the property.

This evening we enjoy a traditional, sumptuous farm style supper.









DAY 2, 3 & 4
SPIONKOP NATURE RESERVE AND DRAKENSBERG MOUNTAINS


After breakfast we visit the Spionkop Nature Reserve. The Reserve hosts white rhino, giraffe, eland, red hartebeest, blue and black wildebeest and a number of smaller antelope and mammal species, as well as a variety of birds.

It is situated around the Spionkop Dam and on the side of the Spionkop Mountain which affords us some great scenery as well.

This morning you have the choice of exploring the Reserve and viewing the resident animals from the comfort of a Game drive Vehicle or alternatively on Horseback. After exploring Spionkop Reserve for a few hours we head for the stark, sheer cliffs and rocky spires of the Drakensberg Escarpment, with waterfalls, deep wooded gorges, crystal clear tumbling streams and green foothills falling away from its base. Our accommodation for the next three nights is the Three Star, Cathedral Peak Hotel situated within the Natal Drakensberg Park, a recently proclaimed UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You will have plenty of time to enjoy the many interesting activities available here such as numerous beautifull walking trails, visits to bushman painting sites, horseriding , bowls, tennis, and 9 hole Golf Course.








DAY 5
JOHANNESBURG


You have the morning at leisure after which we head back to Johannesburg / Pretoria a 400 Km drive.








Alternatively we can transfer you on to Durban












Cape Town & Garden Route


GUIDED TOUR OR SELF DRIVE OPTIONS:
(Please note that if you choose the self-drive option, we will book a suitable rental vehicle on your behalf, which you can collect and drop off at the airport.) Please peruse our suggested Itinerary hereunder, we will be happy to modify it to suite your time, available and preferred locations.



DAY 1
CAPE TOWN


On your arrival in Cape Town, our Papadi guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel where you stay for 3 nights. Time Permitting a city tour en route to the hotel is included. Our guide will brief you on the rest of your itinerary and discuss your interests and preferences. You then have the evening at leisure.

Lunch/dinner and any activities this day are for your own account. Overnight accommodation on a B&B basis is included.









DAY 2
CAPE PENINSULAR DAYTRIP


Our guide will meet you in the hotel foyer. You will then go on to Hout Bay, where you will take a boat trip to Seal Island. After this trip, you will continue over the scenic Chapman’s Peak pass, and on to Cape Point Nature Reserve. Enter the reserve and on to Cape point itself, where you will have the opportunity to go up to the old lighthouse, either by foot or on the funicular. From Cape Point, you will head to Simonstown for lunch.

Enjoy a seafood meal with a beautiful view over False Bay, and a chance to see the Southern Right whales, when in season, from July to November. Lunch for own account. After lunch you will visit the Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach, where you will be able to see the Cape Penguins in their natural habitat. Return to your hotel via the scenic Boyes Drive pass, stopping en route for photographs and to enjoy the view. Dinner for your own account. Overnight accommodation on a B&B basis is included.

Activities Included : Seal Island cruise. Cape Point entrance fee and funicular. Penguin Colony entrance fee.












DAY 3
CAPE TOWN / TABLE MOUNTAIN


Our guide will meet you in the hotel foyer. You will then be taken for a trip up to Table Mountain on the cable car (weather permitting). Time at leisure on the mountain to explore and take photographs. Transfer back to your hotel. The remainder of your day is at your leisure to explore the City or Beach. If the weather is unsuitable, various activities can be arranged, for own account. Lunch/dinner for own account. Overnight accommodation on a B&B basis included.

Activities Included : Return Table Mountain cable car fee.










DAY 4
WINE ROUTE


Today you will take a drive through to Stellenbosch, the heart of the Cape winelands. Enjoy a wine tasting and cellar tour at one of the wine estates. From the estate, you will go on to your lunch venue, also on one of the wine estates. After lunch head on to Spier Wine Estate, where you will visit the Cheetah Foundation. From Spier you will go on to your hotel – optionally you can visit other wine estates, any tastings for own account. Then time at leisure to walk around Stellenboch. Dinner for own account. Overnight on a B&B basis is included.

Activities Included : 1 x wine tasting and cellar tour. Cheetah Foundation entrance fee (personal cheetah encounter for own account).





DAY 5
GARDEN ROUTE / OUDTSHOORN / CANGO CAVES


After Breakfast you depart Stellenbosch and head on to Oudtshoorn. On arrival in Oudtshoorn, you will visit an ostrich farm for a tour followed by lunch, included. After lunch you will visit the famous Cango Caves where you will find the finest dripstone caverns, with their vast halls and towering formations. Continue on to your hotel. Dinner for own account. Overnight on a B&B basis included.

Activities Included : Ostrich tour and lunch. Cango Caves entrance fee.









DAY 6
KNYSNA


After breakfast you depart Oudtshoorn, and head for Knysna. On arrival in Knysna, you have the afternoon at leisure to explore this buzzing little town. You stay here 2 nights. Lunch/dinner for own account. Overnight on a B&B basis.












DAY 7
TSITSIKAMA FOREST


After breakfast you will travel around and explore the highlights of this scenic area. Your first stop will be the Tenikwa Wildlife Centre, where you will visit furry felines, living in a semi-natural environment. Next you will visit Monkey Land, a primate sanctuary in Plettenberg Bay. Lunch at Monkey Land is included.

After lunch, you will head for the Tsitsikamma Forest, where you will enjoy the experience of a canopy tour through the forest. The scenery high up within the forest canopy is spectacular. Enjoy the view from above while taking in waterfalls and spotting birdlife amongst the surrounding trees. Return to the hotel. Dinner for own account. Overnight on a B&B basis included.

Activities Included : Tenikwa entrance fee. Monkey Land entrance fee and lunch. Canopy tour.




DAY 8 & 9
GAME LODGE / BIG 5


After breakfast you depart Knysna and head off for a long drive to Port Elizabeth, and on to a game lodge situated in the Eastern Cape. Finish your trip with 2 nights at this luxury game lodge, on a fully inclusive basis (excluding beverages). This family owned and operated, private game reserve spans nearly 9,000 hectares of pristine African wilderness incorporating the picturesque Kariega and Bushman's Rivers.

This game lodge offers a unique combination of awesome Big-5 game viewing with an expansive variety of fauna, flora and birdlife in a landscape that incorporates 5 different eco-systems, displaying the most dramatic views and vistas. The experience is very powerful and authentically African.

Included : 2 nights on a Full Board basis (Incl. accommodation, meals and activities)















DAY 10
PORT ELISABETH


You will be transferred to Port Elizabeth airport in good time for your flight out.
